It was brought to my attention last week when I did my fall to-do list that it was "aggressively about apples." It was also brought to my attention that the whole list could have been more #basic. It then turned into this thing about how I could be more basic. Good times!! I'm not sure how I feel about this #basic thing, but I swore then and there that I would dedicate a whole post about how much basics (and me) love pumpkins. Here it is!

When You Believe in Something
I got back from Mexico safe and sound yesterday, and tomorrow I am off to Disney World with my family! A hectic two weeks, but fun none the less. After spending all last night doing laundry so I'd be prepared for our drive down to Providence today, it's safe to say I'm pretty exhausted. Excited to be going to Disney, not so excited my parents chose to fly us out of an airport that is five (yes, FIVE) hours away from home.
But, I can't really complain because I'm lucky enough to still be going on vacation with them at 20. It's likely to be one of my last family vacations for a long time (seeing as after next year I have to actually be a real grown up...), so I'm planning on cherishing the time I get to spend with my family in our favorite place! Yes, we may or may not call Disney World our home away from home. My brother insists he doesn't like Disney, but I think he secretly enjoys it! Not that he'll ever admit it...

Let It Go
Surprise! This post is not actually about Frozen, so if you were rolling your eyes you can stop now. Monday I wrote about how I'm trying to make this year my year, but there's one specific thing I always find holds me back from recognizing just how lucky I am. I fret over such silly things. Really, I do. Over friends, over guys, my family, school, and so on and so forth. None of these things when taken in a general context should be considered silly, but the tiny, mediocre, little things that come with them? You could call a fair majority of them silly or dumb or whatever.
Truth be told, I'm pretty upset/annoyed/mad right now. I saw something on a certain social media site that made me upset, and in true Emily fashion, now I'm here... writing about it. I should have known I was a writer when all I'd do when I was mad as a kid (aside from scream) was go up to my room and jot down angry poems and/or not-so-impressive song lyrics about whoever had done me wrong this time around.

Sundays in Bed
Happy Sunday everyone! Last week completely caught me off guard, it was a little crazy busy. I made it through though, thank God. You know those weeks where you don't think you have a lot to do and then all of a sudden it's like everything school-wise/internship-wise/life-wise just sneaks up on you? They aren't necessarily my favorite, but hey, they happen, right?
And to think, only 23 more days of classes now (yes, including weekends)! I'm so pleased I could cry. But it's not like I'm counting down until summer or anything... it's just hard to believe it's so close! And with only one final, once April 30th hits I'm pretty much home free.
Sit Back with a Cup o' Joe
1. I read this at work the other night, and ask my co-worker, but I was laughing so hard I was crying. As someone who likes to run, I can relate to this post so much. It reminded me I need to start running again.... Whoops.
2. Buzzfeed was killing it this week. How Jennifer Lawrence are you? Because apparently we'd be best friends.
3. If you haven't seen this yet, it's hysterical. Props to these four year olds.
4. One of my most popular posts ever. I'm so proud of this one, and thank you so much for the support. If you missed it, check it out here!
5. Currently craving, the most comfortable underwear out there. #gocommando
6. I'm a Disney head. How Disney are you? Again, Buzzfeed was killing it this week!
7. Have you seen this commercial from Evian? Perfection.
8. How men would react to sexist remarks. This woman is a genius. Not to mention you get quite a few laughs!
9. The students at the high school I graduated from made a lip sync to Pharrell's "Happy" for our principal. He was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and we all wish him the best with his treatment and recovery!
Enjoy your Sunday everybody!
I'll be writing my last paper of the semester...
xoxo
