Bundle Up!

I don't know about any of you who don't reside on the east coast, but here, it is freezing. Literally. I live so far up north that I'm only an hour away from Canada, and I've never in my life experienced such cold temperatures. Thinking about getting out of my bed this morning knowing that the high for the day was at a solid zero degrees was absolute torture. And worse? The temperature sat at a brisk -15 degrees on my way to my 8am. Needless to say, if there ever was a day to take the on-campus bus, today was it.

I'm actually really surprised that I haven't caught a cold all winter. (Knock on wood...) It may just be because I refuse to believe I have any time to get sick. In reality, I don't have any time to get sick. Side note: I'm sorry this post is up so late. 10pm snuck up quickly on me last night and I had to be up at six... Homework > Sleep > Blog

Anyway, stay warm with these tips!

Do NOT underestimate the hat.

Socks should be your best friends.

Over-the-knee socks for your boots, and load up on the warm socks. Double layer, I'm telling you!

A few of my favorites...

Cashmere Everything.

Scarves....

Sweaters...

EVERYTHING.

Wool coat, anyone?

Don't forget the staples...

Cozy gloves and hot coffee, you can't live without them.

Boots, Boots, Boots

Did you really not see this coming?
Hunter Boots (get the inserts!)

But the best thing you can do...

... is cozy up by the fire with a cup of tea!

Stay warm ladies! Let's hope this weather looks up soon!

The Girl on the Go

Lately I've been feeling so incredibly rushed. And it's not necessarily a bad thing, but getting up for 8 am classes two times a week is really putting a damper on any motivation I have to dress myself properly in the morning. So, that being said, I thought it would be fun to gather up a bunch of functional and easy looks for the girl who's always on the run!

My go-to outfit on a day when all I want is to be comfy tends to be my favorite Gap sweater, these jeans from Madewell, and Bean boots. Sometimes I throw a scarf in there depending on the weather, but it's literally the best outfit for a packed day. And then when I get home? All I've got to do is take the Bean boots off, slip my slippers on, and cozy on up by the fire with a cup of decaf!

But, if you're looking for something a little more proper, fooling someone into thinking you really tried this morning has never been easier with these looks!

Conquer Frizz

Keep it Simple

Let the Shoes Do The Talking

Sometimes a simple outfit with the right shoe is all you need.

These are fall perfection

Alrighty, have a good Wednesday ladies... I apologize for such a quick post, lab training calls! Make sure to beat the back-to-school craze with these tips on limiting stress and find some time for yourself this week!
