Fall is my all-time favorite season. Where I live, people come visit for the foliage. And I can't say I blame them because it's all just so gorgeous around this time of year. We got a taste of fall this past week, and while we seem to be getting one more heat rush, I still find myself dreaming of apple picking and hot cider.
Fall has always been the best of seasons for me because it's when my birthday is (less than three weeks to 21 people!!), but it's also a favorite amongst a lot of my family members. My parents always made it special growing up by carving pumpkins and making pies and doing all that fun stuff. To this day, the smell of apples is an instant mood-booster (although, that might just be because I love apple pie.)
I really love Instagram... it's kind of one of my obsessions. I'm working on being artsy enough to become some kind of "cool" Instagrammer, but again, I lack in the creativity department. But what I lack in creativity I make up for in good writing (or at least I like to think so)! Anyways, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of my top ten favorite Instagram accounts for this week's round-up! All of these ladies are amazing role models for those of us with a love for style, fashion, and all things that seem effortlessly cool. I've read on a few of their blogs that they spend a lot of time setting up and staging photos, and for that I admire them.
These ladies/companies have it figured out. They capture beautiful photos that set them apart from so many others. The talent they have when it comes to putting together an amazing photograph is something I hope to acquire in the coming years. So unique, so perfect.
It's like Christmas is happening all over again! Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week starts on February 6th in NYC, and I'm super excited. I dream of the day when I'll (hopefully) be in attendance. And on that day, my life will be made.
NYFW is going to take the city by storm this week, with shows all over town. I mean, Alexander Wang is taking his show to Brooklyn! Attendees might be running all over the place, but I'm sure none of them are complaining. From what I hear, NYFW's a whirlwind of fun and I've never heard a soul complain about it.
While this week will be previewing Fall 2014, thirty degrees isn't necessarily ideal weather for looking your best. These girls know how to look chic and stay warm! Take a look or two from their book, and you're set to go for what will hopefully be the last month of winter. Check it out!
I can't lie and tell you that I'm an avid football fan, that I watch all the games, or that I'm beyond excited for the Super Bowl this year. Tom Brady messed up that last game for the Pats and after that any interest I had in the matter faded quickly. And while I have decided to root for the Broncos this year (solely because I love Colorado), the things I'm most looking forward to are the commercials and the food. Naturally.
Side note: I'll never understand why they can't keep the Super Bowl in warm weather states. Those poor fans who have to sit and freeze just to watch a game. Halfway across the country no less! Or at least for this year's game...

Because no Super Bowl party would be complete without the over-the-top decorations, right?
Alrighty, ladies...
Enjoy your Super Bowl weekend! Spend time with friends and family, indulge in some good food, and drink responsibly! I'll be in Boston until tomorrow (we saw Lady Antebellum last night... AMAZING!!!) and then I'll be heading home to catch up on homework and sneak in some tasty snacks. Obviously.
