I don't know about you, but my favorite part of the holidays has always been cookie making. Maybe it's because when I was younger there would be one day when my three best friends and I would get together with our moms and spend an afternoon making the classic, cut-out Christmas sugar cookies. Regardless, I love food, my friends love food, and we especially love cupcakes and cookies. This year, rather than do a Secret Santa exchange (we have issues actually getting the gifts to each other on time...), we decided on doing a cookie swap!
Thanks to the untimely scheduling of my wisdom teeth being removed Monday (pray for me.. I'm terrified!), our cookie swap isn't happening until next Friday. However, I've been sitting at home for the past three days bored out of my mind, and today I officially hit that point of boredom where anything but watching bad daytime talk shows would be fun. Usually when I get this bored, I decide to do some kind of baking activity. But I'm determined to not hate myself after this holiday season, and writing a post on the best cookie swap recipes was the next best thing to actually baking the cookies. Check them out!
